Coup D'Etat

i stumbled apon this company from other blogs, but there designs were really nice so i ma shout them out. Here is sum info from the site "coup d'etat, BROOKLYN is a graphically bold design company based in Bed-Stuy whose philosophy follows one rule: "live to change something." coup d'etat's Founders, Daoud Abeid & Rasu Jilani, founded the t-shirt line to manifest visual ideas and a life philosophy into eye catching designs that people, no matter their creed, can feel. coup d' etat aspires to connect the hero, the revolutionary, the truth-seeker, and the fashionista. Understanding that these aspects usually reside in one’s self, coup d' etat makes its clients comfortable with relating to visionary ideals while displaying one's inner fresh and sexy. "We decided to make shirts that we would want to wear, hence the name coup d'etat means take over of state in french. "Live to change something" reflects the way we live our lives. Life is a blessing that we believe should be used." Abeid abstracts iconic images to express he and Jilani's personal taste, and style aesthetic. "A lot of people use iconic images. We also want to focus on style, expression, and color to the same extreme. The imagery will continue to represent change, people and ideas that shake the norm, but are revered by revolutionaries and trendsetters alike." Abeid and Jilani began laying the foundation for the designer line in 2003. There designs can now be found in boutiques on the east and west coasts as well as in Tokyo and Paris. coup d’etat will features limited editions of their designs for the clientele who desire exclusivity. Their "The Greatest" t-shirt (featured was featured in (Complex Magazine's in november 2005) Look for coup d'etat's in Pieces of Brooklyn and Harlem, 1Race and Addy & Ferro in Brooklyn, Goliath in Harlem, Union and Stackhouse in SoHo, Balboa in Atlanta, shop ombe in So.
